We have partnered with the entities below to provide prospective and existing Tlingit & Haida small business persons with counseling, training and specialized services concerning the formation, management and operation of small businesses.

  • Generations Southeast

    Generations Southeast is a place of learning that is culturally driven by Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian Traditional Tribal Values. Embracing the strength of culture and communities, courses are open to the public and Generations Southeast welcomes everyone to join the learning environment. Through high quality, post-secondary academic and vocational training courses as well as cultural classes, Southeast Generations provides students the opportunity for personal growth and the tools for career development and financial wellness.

  • Spruce Root

    Spruce Root is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Spruce Root is committed to building capacity and growing the economic strength of Southeast Alaska by providing:
    • Technical resources, entrepreneurial mentoring, and business coaching (such as Business Basics Workshops)
    • Small business lending in Southeast Alaska
    • Education and access to funding sources and collaborative partnerships throughout the region.

    Voyij is an online marketplace that helps travelers buy products from local businesses. If you have ever considered promoting your products to the travel industry, Voyij can help get you connected and make your products visible. Voyij offers free product photography and website hosting for Tlingit & Haida, small business owners.

  • Alaska Small Business Development Center

    The Alaska Small Business Development Center offers services such as: no-cost business coaching, free and low-cost workshops, and a plethora of tools like spreadsheets and templates to get your business running smoothly. Whether you’re just thinking of a business idea, launching a new business, going to the next level with an existing business, or thinking of selling your business, the Alaska SBDC can help you in your journey.
